Senior Test Engineer – Customer Management Platform (Hybrid Role)

Join Creditsafe’s internal Customer Management Platform team—responsible for a key platform that supports all our products and services. We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer experienced in testing cloud-native systems and committed to supporting quality at every stage of the development process.

This is a hybrid role, with some in-office time expected as part of our collaborative working model.

🌍 Who We Are

At Creditsafe, we’ve been helping businesses make smarter decisions since 1997. Privately owned and independently minded, we started in Oslo and have grown to serve over 110,000 customers across 23 offices worldwide. Our tools support everything from risk assessment to customer engagement, powered by data, AI, and a commitment to innovation.

We’re proud of our inclusive culture and global community, where people can be themselves and develop both professionally and personally.

🤝 The Team

You’ll be part of an Agile team responsible for a central platform that manages customer provisioning, authentication, entitlement, and auditing—handling millions of daily transactions. We use modern AWS technologies to continually enhance our systems and support the evolution of our product portfolio.

The wider QA community at Creditsafe supports all teams by promoting quality practices and intelligent automation throughout the software lifecycle.

🧭 Your Role

In this role, you’ll lead by example in building quality into everything we deliver. You’ll develop and execute meaningful tests, contribute to automation frameworks, and support your team with expertise in quality practices.

You’ll also act as a mentor to others and play a key part in improving processes across the QA community.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Guide your Agile team in embedding quality throughout the development cycle.

  • Use generative AI to enhance quality, reduce manual effort, and streamline processes.

  • Write, review, and maintain test artefacts using Cypress, Bruno, and Azure DevOps.

  • Carry out a variety of tests—functional, non-functional, regression, and acceptance.

  • Document and share testing approaches that support continuous improvement.

  • Communicate test results clearly and accurately to stakeholders.

  • Contribute to and review automation frameworks for UIs and APIs.

  • Identify and resolve issues collaboratively, using evidence-based problem solving.

  • Support performance testing, including strategies for load and endurance testing.

  • Provide guidance and feedback through peer reviews and mentoring.

  • (If applicable) Manage direct reports, including planning and performance support.

🧠 Skills & Experience

We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and recognise that experience can be gained in many ways.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks: ATDD, BDD, unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

  • Practical experience with Python or JavaScript, especially for test automation.

  • Understanding of the defect lifecycle and how to manage quality feedback loops.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (including serverless or cloud-native architecture).

  • Experience with data pipelines and test automation within CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

  • A good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills—especially around feedback and collaboration.

  • Previous line management experience (desirable but not essential).

We are happy to make adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process to support your needs—please let us know what works best for you. Examples might include:

  • Extra time or alternative assessment formats

  • Written responses instead of verbal interviews

  • Remote interviews or screen-reader-accessible materials
