About the Opportunity

As a Principal AI Engineer, you will lead the development of AI solutions across Creditsafe’s products, designing advanced AI models and agents to enhance decision-making for our clients. You will oversee the entire AI lifecycle, from research to deployment, and contribute to shaping Creditsafe’s AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Strategy Development: Develop and implement AI strategies that align with Creditsafe’s business goals, supporting customer needs and product growth.

• Model Development and Deployment: Design, build, and implement AI and machine learning models to address specific business challenges such as fraud detection, risk assessment, and customer insights.

• AI Agent Innovation: Lead projects involving advanced AI agents that use Creditsafe’s data assets to provide predictive insights and proactive solutions in our products.

• Large Language Model (LLM) Deployment: Oversee the setup and optimization of large language models (LLMs) that operate within Creditsafe’s secure environments, ensuring effective data use and high model accuracy.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with data engineering, product, and analytics teams to integrate AI models into Creditsafe’s data systems, supporting smooth implementation and alignment with product goals.

• Research and Innovation: Stay updated on advancements in natural language processing, generative AI, and other areas; convert research into practical, scalable solutions.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance to team members on best practices in AI model development, performance optimization, and deployment.

• Strategic Vision: Contribute to shaping Creditsafe’s long-term AI goals to ensure AI capabilities are a core part of the organization’s growth and future.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive AI Experience: 8+ years in AI, machine learning, or data science, with experience leading major AI projects and deployments.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

• LLM Expertise: Experience building, tuning, and managing large language models in secure, data-intensive environments.

• Programming Proficiency: Expertise in Python, SQL, data pipeline technologies, and knowledge of data infrastructure and machine learning operations.

• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain AI concepts and technical information to diverse audiences.

• Additional Skills: Familiarity with reinforcement learning, generative AI, NLP, and graph analytics is beneficial.
